Got the truck back today. Repair order said they pressure tested the intake system and found no leaks. Removed cold side boost pipe from intake plenum and found soaked with oil, inspected heater grid for restriction and found not clogged. Needs turbo for dumping oil into intake system creating...
Oil was never low, will be keeping more of an eye on it now though. Just had an oil change a couple hundred miles before bringing to the shop. Going to ask if they topped off or anything, if so I’ll change it again to make sure it’s the same oil as I use Amsoil.
2023 Ram 2500, 30k miles. Got code 2459, clogged DPF and regen frequency. It was a total of 3 stored codes. Dealership says the turbo was leaking oil causing constant regens, and will be replacing the turbo.
Does anyone think this could be due to constant use of the exhaust brake?
My last truck I had retractable, this truck I went MX4. I didn't like giving up the bed space, albeit was in a F-150 with 5.5' bed. I had a warranty issue where some of the slats came out of the rail and chewed them up. Bed cover wouldn't retract all the way or would get stuck and not close.
