Good morning,
Been following this thread for some time.
My 2019 truck has been doing a regen every 100-125 miles with mixed driving. I can get to 300ish miles with all highway at 70+ mph. The only way I get any longer is with my 15K 5th wheel attached. Not exactly practical for every trip.
I got...
Not a 22, but my 19 goes back to the dealer next week for frequent regens.
This time, they are replacing the DPF. They have replaced sensors, done forced regens, nothing has fixed it.
They have a case open with STAR as this isn't the only truck the dealer has with this particular issue.......
I...
Ha, nope, they (dealer, tech, & Ram Customer Service) all agree this isn't normal.
My closest dealer had the diesel tech move. I had to take the truck to a different dealer that had a diesel tech. This was last year.
That dealer had me wast a day of work to get the truck there. Kept it all day...
Yeah, when they told me they had a STAR case but were not sure when the next steps would be given to them to try, I told them I was coming for the truck.
I gotta work.
I told them when they had an action plan & next steps I would bring it back in. I can't have it sitting there with the dealer...
Truck has new air filter. Old one was correct Mopar with only 6K on it. Was replaced when this started.
Truck is under the 3/36. I'm not doing Ram's job for them. I want this documented in case issues arise later.
Ram needs to figure this out.
This. This right here is why people delete. Not for...
Well,
Truck has been at the dealer all week.
I printed the above and took it.
Dealer still has no idea what is wrong.
They supposedly have opened a STAR case.
This is the 6th or 7th time I have had the truck in with this issue.
Truck has done 42 regens in the last 6,118 miles. So an average of...
I agree, this isn't normal.....Regen every 100 miles cruising at 75 on the interstate? Watching the gauge % climb while pulling 14K pounds up a 7 mile long 7% grade with upper 80s for ambient temp? If that doesn't get the exhaust hot enough to burn clean, I don't know what will.
Also, the truck...
I hope they are nearing a fix.
Thanks for keeping us updated.
I will be scheduling to leave mine with them in May to see if they can figure out what is wrong with mine.
I have went back and forth on this, and while I would love to have this integrated with the truck, I have the In-Command TPMS that uses my phone for monitoring and alerts.
I just can't justify the $400ish for this since I have the other. In-command does high pressure warnings as well as...
The Rough Country is much brighter, but I dialed the exposure down on that shot as the light blinded the camera.
The Baja lightbar is nice, but I just couldn’t justify the $$$ when this one works and gave me the look I was after. I did suck it up and spend the $100 for the Baja brackets. I...
Rough Country Black Series. They have models with an amber DRL built in. The amber is not too bright, so I run it all the time with the Diode Dynamics backlight. Colors match almost exactly.
I know this is an older thread, but I used 1 aux switch for the backlight on the pods, and the amber DRL in my light bar. 3 switches total for backlight/drl, fogs, & main bar.
Thinking of buying the parts and adding the TTPMS to my 2019 with AlphaOBD as I am due for new tires on my 5th Wheel.
I am assuming unlike the TPIS on the 3500s it will alert for a low tire and you set a threshold.
Just wondering if anyone has had it alert you and save you running on a low...
Still very interested in what you find from the dealer....
Mine is still doing a regen every 100 miles no matter how I drive....interstate cruising, stop & go....I might get 10-20 more miles on the interstate occasionally....
Another person on a Facebook group reported something similar, and his...
For what this is worth.....
I have a Reese Revolution.....same principal as the orbital....
I use a B&W hitch with the specific wedge for the B&W.
Tow a 2016 Jayco 355MBQS with a GVWR of 13,750lbs.
It tows excellent. No pinbox swing in the truck bed means we can put gear all around the bed up to...
