No work on the wheels or tires nor anything that might have called for their removal. Yes, all four wheels have locking lugs.
The Dealership that repaired my Aisin transmission recently denies putting the lugs on. I am currently awaiting a call back from the Dealership where I bought the...
The vehicle did not mention locking hubs on the equipment list and I never ordered them. The truck has never been to a tire shop and NO I was not given a key for the lugs. I’m about to tear my truck apart looking for it. Crap!
Those are both mine. The same vehicle. Nothing ever done to the wheels or tires. The pic without the lock (on the left) is the truck brand new. The one with the lock (on the right) was taken last week.
what is the explanation? This is not a riddle. Lol! It’s a serious question.
if there are...
This is the way the Truck came home after having the Aisin transmission repaired. ALL four wheels are missing the cap on the locking lug nut. The Dealership that worked on the truck is trying to convince me there are no “caps” for that locking lug. I sent them those two pics and they say they...
Can someone tell me the difference and why? This is the same tire/wheel as when purchased and 9 months later. Hint: it’s not about being clean or dirty, or old or new.
Thanks.
UPDATE: made it home after 2.5 hour trip. I was able to talk to the transmission tech. He told me this was his 8th vehicle to repair with the snap ring/clutch Kit. Told me he hasn’t had any of them back (failed) as of yet. Truck transmission ran a little sluggish (more hesitation in shifting...
UPDATE: My Ram Customer Care “Premium Specialist” has assured me, for two weeks now, the Dealer has all the parts to repair my truck and was told it wold be ready by yesterday. NOT!! Now she is telling me “hopefully” it will be repaired by Thursday or Friday. I feel like I should get her to...
UPDATE: Seems that ”Ram Cares” is communicating with the Dealership in possession of my truck. My case worker informed me today that the truck should be repaired by Monday of next week. Not holding my breath and not happy they are putting a “band aide” on it instead of replacing the...
UPDATE: Dealer says the diagnostic tests are complete and the results found were that the K1 clip failed causing the damage. Said this will be the 3rd vehicle they have worked on and fixed with the Clip/clutch kit. Told me they will “rebuild the transmission” and parts are two weeks out.
He...
Update: my truck finally made it to the Dealer and awaiting diagnostics test. I have a request for them to send me the SN off the failed transmission. Haven’t heard back yet though.

*I did forget to add, in my original post, that I did get the “4x4 unavailable“ alert as well as the Engine light During the “Failure Event”.
