    Automatic Regen too often

Same. Know a guy with a duramax that had all injectors replaced within the first year of ownership.

    Automatic Regen too often

I agree, they all have their own issues and for a lot of people it comes down to brand loyalty. They all have pretty similar quality and amount of issues. That’s horrible about your friend. How did he get back?

    Automatic Regen too often

Ahh how the story continues. I could’ve sworn they had an injector downstream. What is more aggressive about their regens? It’s my understanding they regen every 500 miles so I suppose I might consider that somewhat more aggressive. On the other hand, the operator can control when it goes into...

    Automatic Regen too often

Was just reading about their fuel issues when you replied. Yup there it is. Goes back for years. I thought they had an injector within the exhaust but looks like I was wrong about that too unless it has changed. Hahah certainly seems that way.

    Automatic Regen too often

Wow ok. I haven’t read that anywhere. I’ll have to keep and lookout for that then. Pros and cons to everything.

    Automatic Regen too often

Great info. Thanks for that. Blows my mind. The Fords seem to have a much better regen process. As far as I know, their regening doesn’t cause diluted oil since there is an injector downstream. They can also have ocr enabled which we don’t have. It seems nice not but not necessarily a must...

Thank you! That's just insane to me...

    Automatic Regen too often

Thanks for the detailed response. This makes sense. Same reason to go off time vs mileage for oil changes. I didn't think of it that way but I should've. I have a 12.5% idle time so my mind didn't go that direction. I will have to look at my regen form and do some math to figure the hours...

    Automatic Regen too often

I’ve used both the cleaner and the everyday archoil but didn’t have my monitor in the truck at the time so I stopped using the additive to get a baseline so I can compare. I was using the standard dose but plan on using more at each fill up next go around. I’m glad to hear that it has been...

    Automatic Regen too often

Two questions: Does anyone know how many miles between regens will throw a CEL? Secondly, what temp at EGT3 is good for passive regen? As others have said and have told me in this thread, 70-75 is an ideal speed and creates enough work for the engine causing the EGTs to get high enough for...

    Automatic Regen too often

That's what I figured and also the reason why I started using it. I did the 6400 first and am a couple doses into the 6500. I'm toying with using the performance dose. Maybe some are just using it until they can trade in their truck. How frustrating.

    Automatic Regen too often

Has anyone had the China MAF fix their regen frequency? Everything I've been reading and @mbarber84 survey is saying that for the majority, it's not doing anything. My dealer was saying that it is. I haven't popped a code yet but I go into regen an average of 339 miles and that's with mostly...

    Regens at alarming rate!

Nice looking truck. What do you think of it compared to yours? I’m curious how often it regens. I read somewhere they do it every 500 miles or so compared to the 24 hr clock on ours but I could be completely wrong.

    Regens at alarming rate!

Thanks for the reply and insight. I’ve been debating an Edge CTS3 or the idash but haven’t decided if I even want another screen to look at while driving.

    Regens at alarming rate!

I understand that and still like my pickup but I shouldn’t have to constantly have a trailer hooked up for it to function properly. It’s my understanding that past and even current years aren’t having to regen this often and they aren’t constantly towing. I was towing a couple days ago and am...
