If you get yours done, be sure to check it! Never had a single problem with my tailgate and then after the recall it would not stay closed. I had to adjust the strikers back myself. Recall has them adjust it too tight, IMO, with no movement. You had to slam the thing with two hands to get it...

Got my 19 done yesterday, noticeably quieter especially at idle. The CP4 had a ticking, this new CP3 does not.

My 2019 has sounded like that since day one. When I asked my dealer they told me it was normal. Almost 14k on mine now. Still the same noise.

Well I can confirm this is the case. The damper does nothing for up travel. It only makes the already assisted tailgate even slower going down. I pulled it back off. Sad. The tailgate drops great but the assist for up is a bit much and is what is causing this combined with the light tailgate...
