6.7 diesels have a run/don't run feature. They are designed for the OEM filters only. Everything else is risky. I installed a new Mopar fuel filter but the truck would not start. Looked just like the original.

I put the old filter back in place with no problem. It was pretty clean. Heads up. I ordered Mopar/Fleetguard filters on Amazon. The rear one fell apart internally when I tried to push the filter into the cap. I went to the local Ram dealer and they gave me a free one which worked fine...

Changing fuel filters for the first time on a Ram. Everything is going fine except I can't get the front filter to seat far enough to start the threads on the cap. The bottom end has the oval shaped rubber gromet. I keep twisting it slightly and pressing down, but I am getting nowhere...
