My dealer here is saying 18 weeks .. I am about to order my big horn dually now as I want it by April 2022. Any delivery date is ok with me and that is why I am ordering in a week instead of next year as I am afraid I’d miss getting the truck I need for summer.
I am finally biting the bullet and trading back in my 2021 Ram 1500 Sport (loaded). Once I did my own research after purchasing this truck I soon found out the dealer salesperson was off by 500 pounds on payload. I currently pull a very light KZ Escape 22’ trailer hitch weight approx 520lbs...
Go with 3500. Sounds like 8 foot bed is just an overall safer bet for you. You can never have too much truck. Disregard the FCA payload charts as they are only a max starting point as you add options to a truck it goes down. The more options the less payload. Hitch weight is not factored at all...
my plans are to first be towing a travel trailer likely hitch weight about 600 ish. Bed rack, plus kayaks, wife and I and 75 pound dog and gear I feel too close to not just go 3500 and diesel. 3 to 5 years got to larger travel trailer. We just retired and this is decision I need correct. Someone...
So true, I am like informing them on payload , hitch weight etc .. they have no idea and I’m not sure why . A Ram dealer seminar this is basic 101 info and very important to all buyers.. I am curious as to how many people are driving the wrong pickup pulling too much weight and overloaded..
I said yes usually true except when I bought this 1500 my first question was what is the payload.. the answer.. 1820 .. a few days later I learned a little more about the yellow sticker and can’t believe that all of the salespeople and managers do not know this.. they will need to rectify this I...
So I just wanted to hear from a few people on thoughts on what the General Manager at my local dealer is saying regarding payload. He is stating that he knows that my truck has a 1820 payload based on the FCA chart for 2021 Ram 1500 Sport 5.7 hemi 4 x 4 with 6-4 box 3.92 gear. I told him yes...
I traded in a while ago a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and the material inserts were great as well. It’s helped make my decision to go cloth on a “ downgraded” version of a Ram 3500
I’m in agreement on all your points. I’m meeting with my dealer tomorrow to work on a 2021 Ram 3500 big horn night edition. I believe in long run this is actually better than a Laramie.
