lol its purely a commuter car :D i enjoy trying to push it to 35mpg. i want to keep the miles off the 3500. i got it july of 24 and its got 35k miles on it already. i want it to live for a long time. so it shall sit till either it needs to tow or it snows.
after driving a 2500/3500 for i don't know how long to work daily, the gf gave me a car to drive.
2016 Hyundai sonata.....
heres the kicker, 4300 miles on it. its brand new. after washing the mold off, swapping all the fluids, replacing everything that was dry rotted (wipers ect) and giving it...
i just do everything myself. i like knowing what goes into the truck and knowing its done right. used to get my 2018 serviced at the shop and they were shorting me by at least 3 quarts a change. since then i just use my amsoil account and get the stuff there
Fuel filters from geno's, takes...
also add that traction in wet seems good. but still taking off from lights i get tire spin if im not super light on the the throttle. but thats also the nature of these trucks.
truck is untouched. fully factory.
tire noise is hard to determine with my truck as i dont have back seats installed so its louder in the cabin now. but they do sound louder then the transforce. they seem to be a tad hard to balance well. but i got them balanced to about 80mph which is fine...
id like to edit my fuel mileage on the 3500 HO. i get 16.5-17 now with the bigger tires lol. to compensate i have went on a diet via meal preps and healthy food. hoping to off set the weight difference between the new tires and one day a new me.
I have owned several 6.7's at this point.
2009 - 12mpg.. dually manual 4x4 3500
2018 - 21.5 average 2500 bighorn
2021 - 21-22mpg 2500 bighorn
2024 - 18.5 - 19 unloaded 3500 bighorn long bed HO w/ aisin . towing a car trailer with 2 quads and a 2000lb sxs 15mpg.
I just towed 14000lbs through maryland, WV and PA with 3 4 wheelers, 2 dogs, a load of fire wood and somehow didnt run out of def. just say'n
however i did average 8.5 miles a gallon :)
Oil Change using Amsoil. Also changed the trans fluid. used amsoil there as well. oddly enough swapping out the factory to amsoil dropped trans temps from 167 to 163. also installed new tires.
The installers didnt balance them right, nor did they put enough air in the tires. when i say not...
i bought the truck just little over a year ago. its 30k today.
my 21 had 101k on it by mid 2024.
all depends on how much sxs and atv riding im doing during the year.
im hitting 30k miles today. going to do the oil/trans fluid shortly.
from what i can tell, pull the plug, let drain, add till till topped off. done for the trans? i got the amsoil fluid for the trans as well.
