Agreed, I did question it, twice. Was told it was not covered, denied, and warranty is now void. I am traveling currently. I do plan to follow up directly with Zurich when I get home.
You are following correctly, sort of, it voided the emissions systems according to them. I had an extended warranty through the dealer, with Zurich, which was bumper to bumper (ironically less the bumpers). I suspect they would use this an a future excuse on the powertrain too!
UPDATE: using the none-mopar filters has me out of warranty now! :( Shame 'Ram' doesn't warn customer they will void the warranty if you don't use their filters... Almost like this is a great excuse to slide out of contractual obligations on poop emissions equipment. I swear they, the dealer...
Yeah I hear you. I will replace the air filter when I get it back. It’s currently kicking the techs’ butt in the dealer garage bay. Apparently it isn’t happy and has thrown a few more codes. Not looking good for my pending trip…

Both fuel, air, cabin and oil filters changed with oil 2k ago. I haven’t noticed the regen recently, but it usually is quick. I try and run the truck until it finishes.
Oil about 2k ago. No other codes or errors popped up. Didn’t run the codes because I’m on the road traveling; went right to the dealer (I’ve got extended warranty, or at least I paid for one).
I agree! Simple fluid replace. I replaced the filter during the first service. This was just a drain plug dump and a screened (filtered) funnel pour. Nothing else touched. But it just seems very odd it was the first mile after the maintenance!
2020 3500 68k - changed ATF, second maintenance (36k last time). Used same 3309 Mobil ATF I used last time. Less than a mile after I replaced fluid and my DPF is fully (100%) clogged. Now I’m no rocket scientist, but this can’t be random right? Causation and correlation seem obvious. How could...
