Hypothetical question about U5 8.4" Nav to U5 12" conversion

Okay, leave the ignition on, press and hold both volume and tune knobs at the same time, hold for 10 seconds to send things into reboot mode. When I did 8.4 Nav to 12 Nav in my 2024, after making the appropriate changes with AlfaOBD, the radio still required a hard reboot to have the display...

Hypothetical question about U5 8.4" Nav to U5 12" conversion

What was your base radio you were swapping from? I've seen two cases now, where when going from the base 5" or 8.4" non-nav to a 12" and using a brand new radio module, the screen doesn't turn on. Both cases required the hardware to be left alone in the vehicle overnight with the batteries...

Looking to do a full center console swap. Can 2019+ 1500 donor trucks be used?

No, you must use a 2019+ 2500/3500 console. They're different. The seats are also different, use different mounting, modules and wiring.

2022-2024 8.4 NAV to 12.1 NAV Swap Information (Cummins Specific)

So, interesting bit of information. My truck is set to 1920x1200 and the dynamic grid lines work fine. It's a non-surround view truck. I wonder if that resolution pertains to UC4 to UC5?

    seat swap 2024 2500 tradesman

In the middle of doing this right now. Here are my findings since the internet is vague. 2019-2022 seats, while they look the same as 2023-2024 seats are entirely different in respect to wiring harnesses and modules (heated seat and memory / mirror module.) Currently installing a set of 2019...

2022-2024 8.4 NAV to 12.1 NAV Swap Information (Cummins Specific)

I've seen quite a bit of information on the 8.4" to 12.1" radio swap, of which none of them detail the 6.7 Cummins equipped truck radio, specifically. Basically put, the 6.7 Radio is entirely different from the Gas equivalents. As it has a physical, separate hard button for the traction...

How to: 2023 Laramie/limited seats in 2022 ram 2500 trademen

No, you can't turn them off, as the canbus system is missing the correct feedback signals from his airbags and seat belts. Also, 19-22 seats won't work in 23-24 trucks without changing the driver's seat harness and modules. Can confirm, although Mopar shows different part numbers for the...

How to: 2023 Laramie/limited seats in 2022 ram 2500 trademen

Currently rebuilding / swapping 2019 power / heated seats into my 2024 Tradesman. Does your truck have power fold mirrors? If so, you need the following driver's seat harnesses and heated seat control module: Seat Cushion wiring - 68550113AD Seat Back Wiring - 68591505AA Heated Seat Module -...

Hypothetical question about U5 8.4" Nav to U5 12" conversion

Radio & Connectivity: Head Unit Screen Size MUST be set to: R1_12' - 1920x1200 Or the TCS switch WONT work. I found this out, going from an 8.4 NAV to 12.1 NAV in my 2024. This only affects 6.7 Cummins equipped trucks. 6.4 trucks don't have this issue.

    2019-2024 2500 / 3500 Jumpseat to Center Console Swap

I don't believe so, I do know a part is available for the 19-22 models, I just haven't had the time to look up the part number.

    2019-2024 2500 / 3500 Jumpseat to Center Console Swap

Just sharing some information i've found after swapping my 2024 Ram 2500 crew cab from the factory jumpseat to a full feature center console with all features working. You'll need the following parts from the dealer, to mount the console and close the holes left on the dash from the jumpseat...

Jump Seat to Console Swap Process

These are the parts you need for the black interior, listed below is every part required for a jumpseat to console swap. Jumper harness needed, this works for 2023-2024 trucks. The Infotainment jumper harness is absolute trash and doesn't power / allow half the stuff to operate correctly.

Jump Seat to Console Swap Process

It's come with every console I've purchased so far. I'd imagine it can be purchased at the dealer.

Jump Seat to Console Swap Process

The wiring harness from the dash to under the drivers seat, that's the jumpseat harness. In OEM Center console trucks, they came with a 12" jumper harness from the console to the dash plug.

Jump Seat to Console Swap Process

Leave the console mounted USB hub connected. The "H" shaped plug and single USB are all you need to plug in. I removed and disconnected my jumpseat harness. These trucks that have consoles use a 12" long jumper harness to go from under the dash to the console.
