This escalated to a check engine light and a constant flashing of the message. Took it into the dealership and they confirmed there's a bad sensor.
Unfortunately, the part is on back order. The tech did confirm there were 3 other trucks that recently went through them for service with the...
I've used HotShot, Archoil and most recently XPD.
Of the 3, my preference is now XPD. It's the priciest of the 3, but it appears to have significantly cut down on DPF buildup. I could be full of ****, so take that with a grain of salt. To each there own with these additives...
I have a 25 with the 6.7 that has been nothing short of a great truck. However, on occasion I've heard an odd chime when starting the truck but never caught what the message said until yesterday. It's the "service exhaust system" message. It appeared for, at most, 3 seconds then disappears...
I mean you left such a glowing review... lol
It is a deal breaker for my wife and I. If it was just me using it to haul toys and sleep, I would look past it. However, using it as a living space and thinking through the need to clean toys before they are put back in the "garage" just kills it...
About those... Toys, by their nature, are going to get dirty as all hell. The TT models i've seen have at least part of the garage in the living area. How do you keep the living area from getting trashed\smelling like toys?
I'm going to guess that that second regen never finished, BUT with that low miles and DPF gauge where it was, it seems odd that you had the throttle response issues. I agree with the advice above on having it scanned for any codes.
My wife and I did a trial run of camper life with our dogs over the past weekend. We were concerned about our husky being an *******, but as it turns out, all went well, and we think that camper life will suit us well.
I'm really leaning towards a toy hauler as we have bikes and likely soon a...
Anyone out there have a white truck with black rims that have red accents?
I'll be moving forward soon on rims. Really like the look of the red accents on black rims. It matches the black\red badges, but I'm unsure how they will look actually on the truck.
Thanks!
I'm at 1300 miles and have had two full regens and one that was seemingly random and made no sense.
All 3 were when I was either on my way to the grocery store or post office. Both are close to my house....
For the last one, on my way home from the post office, I decided to hit the highway...
Minor changes. Black badges and oil undercoat.
If anyone is looking to replace badges, an eraser wheel is your friend. The tailgate adhesive was very thick and tough to get off. A little heat and an eraser wheel took it off completely in less than 10 minutes.
Also, if you're in the...
Picked up my 25 Tradesman on Monday and figured I’d do a build thread to track progress. This will be slow going, but I have some cosmetic and mechanical plans.
Planned:
- Delete chrome
- Sport hood
- Clearance lights
- Fuel rims
- Oil undercoat (I live in Pittsburgh)
- TBD on suspension...
