Our 2025 RAM 3500 CCLB DRW Cummins was bought new from Mark Dodge in June 25. Got a pretty good deal.
Had a 2024 RAM 3500 CCLB SRW Cummins before the 25. It had power, but the Aisin trans made it drive like a bus.
The 25 with the 8-speed ZF is much smoother and the tranny actually seems to be...
I recently connected one of my trailers (16' enclosed with brakes). The truck went through the usual light test. When I put it in gear, I got all sorts of lights and chimes. No ABS, front and rear parking system disabled, traction control disabled.
I had towed this trailer and others without...
Doesn't sound like fun. But since the dealer charges a stupid amount to do it, I guess I will have to.
Regarding to pouring fuel into the filter housings, make sure the fuel is clean. Newer diesel engines do not tolerate dirt in the fuel...
During normal unloaded driving. I have noticed the DPF gauge ratchet up to 30% and then drop down, presumably due to a regen cycle. However, when we towed our TH (20k) about 3k miles, the gauge never came off the 0% peg. It seems that if you use the truck as it was intended (hard work) it keeps...
I have had this issue every time I use the page to see the additional gauges. The gauges are there, but not registering anything. I have found that tuning on the headlights and back off (changes the screen color) makes them work everytime.
The new Uconnect is slow. Maybe needs more memory?
I usually change my own oil on our vehicles. I did the new RAM ('25 3500 CCLB, DRW, Laramie) at about 1000 miles to flush the system of potential metal particles generated by break-in.
For the second oil change, I planned to change the fuel filters at the same time.
I got lazy and took it to the...
The first sicker was for the 2024 CCLB SRW. The attached scale receipt forced the purchase of the second (DRW) truck.
The SRW was not very overloaded, but I would prefer some reserve capacity...
I have noticed that the '25 UConnect screen is more glitch-y than the 2024 which was more glitch-y than the 2022 that I had. I noticed I could re-set the uconnect gauges by turning on the head lights and turning them back off.
Seems like they continue to add features and options without...
This was our 2024 3500. I really liked it, especially the color. However, it did not have enough payload, GAWR or GVWR for this trailer. So we traded it on a 2025 RAM 3500 CCLB DRW.
RAM owners, We have a Grand Design fifth wheel toy hauler. Our model has had some bad press regarding frame damage. GD has a five-year frame warranty, but will not accept all pin boxes and cover the warranty.
So, we went with a cushioned hitch. These are pricey, but they work great.
I got...
So...I just traded a '24 CCLB SRW HO for a '25 CCLB DRW. Both are Laramies, similarly equipped. Both trucks have air suspension.
I only had the '24 for about 5 months. We bought a fifth wheel that exceeded the GVWR of the SRW.
The '25 is quieter and much smoother. The transmission is much...
Fellow RAM owners,
What are you dually owners doing to check/add pressure to the rear tires? I have TPMS, so I know that the truck was delivered with 80 psi in the inside tires and 65 in the outside. I need to get them set to 65 psi per the door sticker.
The valve stems are virtually impossible...
Fellow RAM owners,
I had a similar experience. We were shopping fifth wheel toy-haulers and settled on one with max GVWR of 20k. The pin weight was supposed to be 2900#. So, I found a 2024 3500 SRW LBCC HO for about $20k off last February.
This truck had a payload of 3886. Once the trailer was...
