I have the 6.4 because it does everything I need it to do, like tow a 12,000 lb trailer. I use to manage a fleet of vehicles and I can tell you we had 20+ year old diesels that never needed a major repair. Then the def and emissions started and we ended up spending $6k for repairs, nothing...
I have a stock 3500 with 35s and my Reflection is a bit nose high with 5" of bed clearance. 37s and a lift might be too much. I use the Curt Crosswing hitch because of the short bed.
Ram should move the facilities to Mississippi or Alabama and stop paying foreigners or union labor. All these problems are fix by destroying the unions who demand high pay for unskilled labor who suck at the simplest task. All the foreign owned cars being manufactured in the south without union...
A month... Hahahahaha. More like once or twice a year. It a truck and I only do truck sh!t with it. It seldom clean and always got dirt smudges on the doors and dash.
I pull a 12k lbs fifth wheel with a 6.4 3500. No issues, does fin on the hills and mountains in the east. I would not go to 17k lbs with it though. Also that's a lot of pin weight and that's empty weight, no batteries or propane. My view is you are into dually territory by the time you add a...
150 series, or any 1/2 ton towable/Light Series uses lighter weight materials and thinner walls in order to save weight. You may want to look at a Reflection travel trailer to see if they have a floor plan you like. Having a fifth wheel is more pleasurable to tow than a travel trailer and a...
Look at the Curt Crosswing hitch. It will give you an additional 7" of cab clearance and weights 70 lbs. With a 3/4 ton truck you will need to save as much payload as possible so I would avoid the slider.
I pull a 35' GD Reflection with no cab clearance issues.

My 6.4 towing 12k through the mountains of WV has never seen anything over 185° during the summer. Regular driving it never goes over 168°
Is the fan kicking in?
