Holly hell the SCR prices have skyrocketed. $5.5k
Note that they are calling the DOC a DPF in the parts description.

I am kind of in the same boat. I would like to put together a go box with the appropriate items that fail within like 60k miles. Things like the DEF injector/DPF filter/CCV filter etc...
Here is a good question. If these are serviceable items, then why is it so hard to find a replacement part. Last time I looked there are no OEM parts suppliers that carry any if these emission items.
I have heard there are some shops that actually can make these serviceable/cleanable with flanges that allow easy removal. There is one in east Texas that does this. I plan on visiting them after my warranties run out to do this as a preventative measure. I also have plans to do the flat tappet...
Will be interesting to see how the new EPA rule changes situations like this. New rule https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/iowa-state-fair-epa-administrator-zeldin-announces-diesel-exhaust-fluid-def-fix at least allows you to be able to drive safely without being stuck on the road. We can only hope...
I actually found a few vendors that offer the ability to have flanges on the DPF filter for easier removal for cleaning if and when the problem arises. Considering I only have 23k on this truck there is plenty time to keep looking around.
Since the EPA is now throwing felony charges at the shops instead of fines this brings up a good question. The main reason for deletes is to rid the truck of the systems that often fail or leaves you stranded. Why hasn't someone created a system that is based on a module design that would allow...
Curious on how many here have demanded and received a buy back? Latest is now supposedly a life pump after changing damn near everything since May and quickly approaching a combined 90 days total. At this point I want out of the truck, but I am not willing to take a loss.
Unfortunately, I think this is the death of the diesel lineup with all the big 3. All the good mechanics operate their own shops or work for specialty shops instead of at the dealerships leaving the ones who don't have a clue to work for the dealers. What good is a warranty then if people have...
