@Mrb0697 yes i did. Turns out this is super common to these trucks. On my front right ABS sensor, (that black wire that connects to your front brake caliper,) had rubbed through the insulation and was touching the frame. Apparently the hot wire the powers the ABS is the same hot wire that...
Thanks, I googled it but once again I'm looking too any other members who may know what caused it, will it reset after a while in its own, possible fixes, etc.
Thanks for the snarky attitude too btw, next time just move along.
I was driving home from hunting camp (driving extremely fast, 90-100 mph) about a 5 hour drive.
This warning light came on instantly when I gave it 3/4 throttle, then it would turn off when I let off the throttle. it toggled on and off by simply pressing the gas pedal.
Anyone have any idea what...
@Hitman - I think @AH64ID is likely on the right track when he suspected the turbo actuator.
Seems to be a very common issue on these trucks for some reason.
I think you would have gotten an under boost CEL, so not sure.
@Dromleski I had the same issue multiple times this past winter. Put it in Drive and zero power, barely get it to move. I'd stop and let it warm up a little more and it went back to normal, so something is stuck closed. The Issue went away this Summer which is super odd...but I do have an...
i have no real data on this but i like to change it early and have always use 5w-40. I dont know if the 10w-30 has anythign at all to do with the ticking issues guys are having but I suspect it might. I fear that dreaded tick noise so it makes me feel better to have fresher oil. Again, totaly...
I just put in fresh fuel Sunday and it hasn't done it since. I'll check back if it happens again as it's supposed to continue to be super cold all week. Hopefully you're right and its just a bad tank of fuel.
it doesn't get too cold here in southeastern PA, maybe in the 20s overnight. But it has been cold for a couple weeks so maybe the truck isnt warm enough? Never had that happen in years past
I have a 2019 Ram 2500 crew cab, short bed with the Cummins w about 70k. My morning routine is to remotely start the truck, put on my jacket and walk outside and get in and go. The last few mornings the truck would not rev above idle speed when I shift into drive. Never had this issue with any...
So an update, my trans was shifting weird and on super hot days it would slam into gear...warranty was about to run out and i was honest with my dealer and said either you or me is putting a transmission in this truck. I described the symptoms and said the trans is not gonna hang in much longer...
i have 70k and warranty expires in 2 weeks and my truck just started doing the same thing. it's a 2019. CEL was for Trans Pressure Switch but the dealer said it was no longer active when they scanned it. I have an appt for July 31st with the dealer so we'll see what happens.
