Thank you. This is what I was hoping. My biggest concern was burning something out on the truck. I’m not too concerned with the lithium being charged. All we will run is the residential fridge going down the road with the inverter. The longest trip is maybe six hours. An occasional overnight...
How do I know if I have a smart alternator? Installed a Lithium battery in my 5th wheel and believe I will need a DC to DC charger if I have a smart alternator. Or disconnect the charger wire from the 7 pin plug.
2022 3500 6.7
Thank you. Charging I’m not worried about. Someone said something can blow a fuse on the truck but he had a 300 amp alternator. I’ll leave a campground fully charged from the site. The most is 8 hours on the road should be plenty to keep the residential fridge going.
I know this is an old thread, but still on the subject of my concern. Replacing my two lead acids with a lithium 12.8v 280ah in the 5th wheel. My 22 ram 3500 has just one basic alternator. Saw a YouTube video and the guy mentioned I could do damage to the truck somehow if I don’t get the DC to...
2022 Ram 3500 SRW
Searching through here and other threads 90% of what I come across are A/T tires. I mainly drive highway and tow a 5th wheel. Are there A/T tires good for this or stick with searching for H/Ts? I know it’s a truck but low noise and comfort is a big plus. Been looking at...
I have a 2022 Ram 3500 with the wired tow mode package. Camera works fine on the back of my camper with the rear view mirror but wish it was more of a “fisheye” view. It’s either too high or too low and would be ideal if I can see cars coming up my passenger side. I lowered it and secured it to...
I got in the truck this morning and it was back to the way it was. Temps on both sides duel control. This is good to know about the resetting tho. Thanks.
My uconnect updated yesterday now I have only a temp slider on drivers side. Used to have adjustable temp readout on both sides. Passenger only has seat control. Driver has seat, steering wheel and temp slider. How do I go back to the way it was and why did it change like this?
Truck details in my sig. First time taking my fifth wheel long distance. About 12,000 pounds. Traveling I81 through PA,VA and TN. What gears do you limit? And do you limit any on level roads?
I’m gonna mount it low like you did. Can you see traffic approaching on the passenger side like that? See it clearly for changing lanes? Don’t know if I’ll get to it for this upcoming trip tho.
Very tight where the wire goes through to the pin box. I believe I saw that the fitting comes off...
