Mostly a lurker on this forum, but I thought I’d share the final result of a second battery install.
Ran 1/4” flat bar with spacers across back of Rambox using existing M6 locations. This gave me a rail to hang components.

Thanks. That housing is nice. But I’d need a second one or have to take it apart when towing? And during winter I take the tent off.
Great solution though!!!
I was looking at the wrong module. Which helps. I tried unplugging each cable and it wasn’t affecting the cameras I was looking for. I...
Decided to stay simple. Posting info for future folks if useful
I mounted camera to Front Runner rack with M8 bolts. Had to drill out camera mount to 3/8.
Ran cable along rack, out existing hole in bed to lower rear corner and underneath to spare area.
Plugged into bumper port and soft loop...
Adding this if it helps others to figure out connectors: https://community.element14.com/technologies/experts/b/comprehensive-guides/posts/a-comprehensive-guide-to-fakra-connectors#:~:text=FAKRA connectors vary and are, industry standard (explained below).
I assume it’s correct but have no way...
Very helpful. I appreciate the response.
The repeater being inline is an important point that I was missing. Putting it upstream is a good idea.
I considered getting a second CHMSL or moving the existing but I couldn’t seem to source any sort of “box” to mount the camera inside and didn’t...
Hi all.
I’ve got in hand the TRAILER CAMERA KIT RAM HEAVY DUTY 2500/3500 (68586112AA). Plug it into the driver side bumper port and it immediately works as described.
Here’s my question (maybe @Jimmy07 has quick answer?)
I have a rooftop tent in bed. It partially blocks the 3rd brake light...
2024 Rebel. Trying to figure out mirror puddle/reverse lights.
1) lower button on light knob turns on cargo and mirror lights. All stay on in park, neutral and reverse. All go out in drive (might be California thing in drive). This button illuminates the cargo icon on dash and the mirror light...
Alright. If I go into preferences and check “Do not verify ECU model” I can finally see stuff (just trying to lower TPMS thresholds lol). But I’m a little nervous by this warning on this checkbox…
In Run position. Open app. Connect to MX+
Select ram 2500>Body Computer>MY2023 PowerNet
Tried to connect 4 times and then errors out. Dash also sometimes shows faults (side steps and blind spot).
I’ve tried different modules and to read faults etc. I cannot get any data.
Thoughts?
Trying again today. Reminder: 2024 2500 Rebel. Kaodtech cable. MX+ and new android table. Bluetooth connects. Can read any module.
Photos of canbus blocks under dash. I realize. I the reference to “colors” of blocks refers to their bases. You cannot see the bases on my truck from under dash...
Man, I appreciate that. It’s the first pic I’ve seen with canbus colors, connectors and wire colors that match what I have in hand.
I’ll try again tomorrow, though I’m sure I had it plugged in this way at least once today :)
Thanks again
