The new harness is for a Cummins 3500 chassis cab. (It was $163 without shipping) My plan is to strip the Aux PDC and wiring out of the new harness and build a stand alone one for the project. I thought that might be the better route.
Mopar Parts Giant has the codes the switches are built for https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2020-ram-2500/electrical/switches_instrument_panel.html (Scroll down to 3)
I was able to cross check on this site; https://www.moparpartsinc.com/p/ram__/102404817/68476024ab.html
Wow lots of information since I visited. I gave up when the Aux Switch I ordered became back ordered then discontinued. I looked around to day and found one; 68476024AB [X81], [XAG], [LHL]. It's for front and rear park sense, which our Power Wagon has.
I had been looking for a new factory...
I've never heard of this, and I have to say I completely disagree with the idea. If it were a good thing machinery manufacturers would put micro metal filings in every piece of machinery to help with break in. Oil would include micro metal filings in it. Break-in oils are formulated to...
The interstate I refer to is concrete. One reason I know the road is causing the bouncing is that the bouncing abruptly goes away at a certain point of the road. That is with both the 1500 and the PW. I'm pretty sure the wheelbase length is matching the segments in the road or something like...
Is it all the time? Or on certain sections of road? We have a section of interstate by our house that my old Ram 1500 club cab would bounce on. No other vehicle did, but the Power Wagon does. I blame it on the wheelbase and some flaw in the construction of the road that syncs with the wheelbase.
I installed on on my Power Wagon. It's he Amsoil dual remote which is a full flow plus bypass. here's a thread about it; https://www.ramforum.com/threads/just-changed-engine-oil-at-510-miles.172497/
The VSIM has zero switches. It's a module and wiring to tie into vehicle functions. For instance there is a "high beam on" output wire you could use to drive a relay to turn on aux lights like driving or fog lights when the high beams are on. That kind of thing. It is nothing like the aux...
I was talking about the Power Wagon specifically. Sorry for not being clear. The Aux PDC is wired into the "left dash wiring" harness, the power wagon is unique with differential locker wiring in that harness. I think that's why the aux switches aren't offered on the PW, there would be so few...
