I received a survey after my less than stellar experience with my defective amp, and their refusal to address it. They didn't like my response. I got a call from corporate wanting to know what they could do to correct the issue. I said simple! Replace the defective amplifier. I got more run a...
I'm familiar with Magnuson. It's not worth going to war over THIS issue. I'll bite the bullet on this one and fix it myself.
I was wanting to give anyone else a heads up when dealing with dealer service, or worse, FCA corporate. They'll screw you if you give them the chance.
No..I hear you. I thought I was helping the tech by telling him what I had done already to help him come to the same conclusion I had.
A different dealer probably won't matter. The whole issue is in the corporate computer now. When the truck goes in for anything now, all this info will come up...
I posted a thread a while back concerning the ANC in my new '22 RAM 2500 Laramie. I followed advice from other members here on how to disable it. First, I did the mic bypass cable. Did not work. Still had the rumble, grinding ANC noise.
Then I bought the security bypass cable and alfaOBD. I went...
The dealer may be my only option. I want to get as much info as I can before I go. I don't expect the service tech to know every nuance of these new trucks.
If I can garner some information that they might not have to guide them, everybody wins. I guess I'll drop it next week. I really want the...
I did all the forum recommendations for disabling the ANC in my truck. Bought the mic bypass cable. No change. Bought the alfaOBD software and bypass cable. I disabled ANC everywhere I could find it. It's still there.
I took the truck to the dealer this morning. The service writer talked to a...
I may have spoke too soon. The ANC doesn't seem to be disabled after all. alfa Shows the two ANC settings I could find to be disabled. I also have the mic bypass cable installed. (Which didn't change much when I installed it first before alfa).
Granted, it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was...
FINALLY!!!! After spending a few hours, and getting really frustrated, I got it to work. I had to play with the "Advanced" settings in alfaOBD. It took changing the com port setting to com 6 (at least on my laptop). Then it connected. I was able to disable the ANC, activate the gear display...
Well, I gave it a shot today. No go.... Fresh alfaOBD software on a Windows 10 laptop. I bought the bypass cable, and a new OBDLink MX+ adapter. Adapter cable plugged in per the instructions and photos here on the site. The laptop sees the bluetooth adapter and pairs with it. alfa connects to...
Uconnect 5 8.4 NAV Updated yesterday on it's own. My trial Sirius (truck is 2 months old) doesn't work now, and it doesn't recognize the USB port.
I guess a trip to the dealer is in order...
