I wanted to post a positive update on this issue for my 2500 and hope it helps someone else. As I posted last time, they replaced the EGR valve to correct the issue after multiple forced regen's and replacing the DPF entirely. The EGR has (so far) fixed the problem. The automatic regen's occur...
So sorry to hear of your problems. The dealer just replaced the EGR valve so hopefully that’s my fix. If not I’m selling and getting a different brand. My understanding is that only Ram is having this issue
My 2020 2500 has very similar issues. Many trips to the dealer with a DPF filter replacement, forced regen’s and latest attempt was to replace the EGR valve. All in 3 months on a truck with 22k miles. They need a better handle on this problem than “drive it harder “.
Thanks for reaching out. I already have a case open and the truck is sitting at the dealership waiting on a new DPF filter. I hope Stellantis is working to fix this issue because it’s a real loyalty killer.
Make sure you call Stellantis and let them know about it too. Get a case number. That's the only way we will get attention is if all of us call in.
