not sure how you would get it tapped with the rod going all the way through the sleeve. unless you could tack weld one into place or thread a small plate and weld that into place then Zerk the plate.

letting you know that worked Wonderfull. 30 minute fix. best its worked in years. I left the tailgate on, did not use the socket set and removed the top part of the dampener shock. I moved tailgate up and down as I sprayed the PB blaster into the holes. Thanks again

2019 ram 3500. My tailgate is doing the same thing. passenger side tailgate hinge. tried cleaning it with degreaser and spray lube. its a little better but it still will not come down on it own. any help or fix for this will be greatly appreciated. Thinking of heading to dealer and seeing...
