I have a 2020 HO and have been having DPF issues, I have used a Vlinker MC+ with Forscan on my apple phone before to read codes and add a few features. I am replacing the DPF today and bought AlfaOBD so I can let the ECU know I am replacing the DPF. I installed alfaobd, when I try to connect...
Then I am confused, the part your picture shows is the part that the def gets sprayed into, I was under the impression the DPF was behind that, like in the picture below, I thought the dpf was part 17.. And when I look at the parts listing the part isn’t listed. The website I am on is...
I may give it a try when we get back from our next trip. Tired of the frequent regens. When I filled out the online webform, I said it was a 2020 Ram 3500 with the HO Cummins engine. A dealer told me last year with I got the limp mode message a dpf is $4k, if you go to any of the mopar part...
Has anyone had their dpf professionally cleaned? I found a local company that claims their process is Cummins approved. https://www.cleandieselspecialists.com/
They charge $550 (must take it to them, they do not remove from truck,) , takes 2 days, is a 12 step process according to their website.
My truck, 2020 HO was doing a regen every 150 miles last winter since it was a daily driver, this summer pulled our 15klb 5th wheel out west for 8k miles and it was happy, getting almost to 24 hour regents many times. Got home and while not towing all the time, still every other week (love...
I have a couple of questions regarding JScan. I got the fog/driving lights not to drop out with high beans correctly. I wanted to show the gear position. I go into JScan and change it and it never takes. I sent an email to the developer asking for guidance, he said it doesn’t work for all...
Wanted to give an update on my 2020 HO doing a regen every 150 miles. Been pulling my 15k 5th wheel through the west/mountains for the last 6k miles, the truck is very happy. Have had a couple of 24 hour regens, had one start after 500 miles but had to buy some fuel at a questionable place...
I agree something is very wrong. That quick regen was maybe 5 hours of driving since the last regen. The last dealer I took it to said they could start replacing parts until they figured out what is wrong but I don’t want anything to do with that. Especially when they said a new DPF is $4k.
A couple of months ago I ran the cleaner 6400 through and have been running the 6500 with every tank since and the bottle is just about empty and I have another cleaner already to go along with another bottle of 6500. I checked the oil about 4-5 days ago and it is right at full after sitting...
Just wanted to share an update on my frequent regens issue. My truck had been running a regen every 150 miles and 3-4 hours, and has been doing this since a dealer in VA flashed the ECU when I was in for a going into limp mode message. The last few days I have been pulling my 15k# 5th wheel so...
Truck ran another regen today, about 200 miles and 5 hours after the last one. I am hoping to buy a scanner tool so I can see what is going on with my truck. I tried searching for OBD and that is too short of a search tool. Found a longer way and found V-gate vLinker MC+ OBDII Bluetooth...
I think Ram messed something up with the ECU update they put in my truck. The last 7 regens have been 6 hour's apart, with the mileage averaging around 150 miles. The 2 that were longer were 1 - 300+ mile freeway drives and 1 - 500 mile drive pulling our 5th wheel and in both cases the truck...
