I am on the fire department board where I live. We just did that to our 2500 Ram brush truck and our brand-new red ambulance. Man, it looks sharp. Not my original idea, but I know how to copy what I like. I think it adds a level of "cool" and sophistication to the truck.

OK, sorry- That is not so much a picture as an AI-generated conception. I gave the AI an old pic of the truck, then had it make modifications, which is the pic you see. That was only to show where I was thinking of blacking out the paint We're good---

Oh, and having a bit of fun elsewhere. I just supercharged my Gladiator and am converting it to coil-over, long-arm suspension. 10 minutes ago, started an order for a 2026 Ram RHO. Using this dually as a driver is gettin' old. Jeep is just a trail/adventure buggy. so me needs a truck you can...

No! How did you come to that conclusion based on what I said???...funny...just wanting to know... Funny, I am a bit of a student of verbal communication from all my years in aviation. It's remarkable how easily a thought can be completely changed From the cockpit perspective, we use very clear...

Checking in- No updates for quite a while, but we had the holidays/family thing. Then I got busy installing a supercharger on my JT Gladiator, building a front bumper for it, and having a new right knee installed. I know, sounds like whining... Whew... So, the rear bumper is all but painted...

The driveability of this modified HD Ram continues to impress me. The truck responds authoritatively, and the ride is very smooth. I spent a bunch of time idling around in the local town, doing the Christmas shoppers' traffic-jam thing. With a 15-mile highway drive on either end of that at 70...

Yeah, me too. Thinking about it, I had run the 255 (33") tire for quite a while without ever having adjusted the speedometer. So, I was actually looking at low-ball numbers. Now that everything is calibrated, I am seeing the delta from before plus the added efficiency from both Mr. Banks and...

And the excellent news is, first, the dealership was able to fix all those pesky dash lights and CEL quickly. Next, with the speedometer calibrated and after some driving around town and on the highway, I saw mileage I had never seen before. 17.4. Later on, I had to drive 25 miles to/from town...

You can see the small dent in the factory bumper just to the right of the pintle hitch. I sprayed the salt and road grime off, but driving to the nearby dealership got it marked up again

While the weather was warmer, I wiped the bare steel down with lacquer thinner, then applied a coat of self-etching primer

Teaser- New Expedition One bumper just showed up The garage is well below freezing. First chance I get when it warms up a bit, I'll get a coat of self-etching primer on it.

Fired it up this morning and sure enough, I still have the ABS light blinking...Off to the stealership. On another note, since my caster adjustment is at the limit, I think I'm going to pick up new control arms before the upcoming alignment. Anyone know anything or have any experience with...

So, a strange thing happened. After several hours I went outside with a newly discovered procedure that fixed this problem for another person: Reset ECU Initialization, cycle key (fresh start) Static ECU Initialization, Calibrated the brake pedal module, Sensor cluster calibration, cycle...

...And a third and a fourth and again and again. ..... I even went in to update the software, but I couldn't find one, so I'm off searching and reading more to try to sort this out so I can get the vehicle driveable again. Remember the days of points, condenser ignition, and zero electronics...
