With any luck at all the fitment for the UConnect 5.0 console will be the same as the current model and we'll be able to just swap it out. That's about the best we can hope for to get wireless CarPlay/Android Auto.

Pin 2 in that connector is empty.

It's an extra plug on the harness. There isn't an obvious connection on the center console for it to go to. I'll get pictures when I pull the console to look for the plug you described above (thank you, btw!).

I did it this weekend...everything was fairly easy except that lone wire to the BCM. I couldn't figure our how to reach it, let alone pin or solder/tap it. And to top it off, it doesn't work...not work slowly, but at all. Is there any way to figure out what that "Pin 45" does? Maybe there's a...

Wouldn't work for me. Traded in the bigger wife for a smaller wife a few years back and you wouldn't believe the difference in ride quality.

How is everyone able to get all this info on their trucks before they receive them? Is there a site to jam my VIN in to? All I know is that mine is that the ETA is 24 Jan.
