To counter the other anecdote, I have the factory LSD and find that it works great. It doesn't lock up with a bang like my old Chevy G80 did but I have never had a single wheel spin up without the other also doing so and that's all I can ask a LSD for, in my opinion.
Interesting. It doesn't bother too too much but I am worried that it will get to the point where I wont be able to shut the engine off and I will be left with a running truck. That is my main concern. I have had a few times were it took me about a minute of jiggling to get it to shut off which...
If we could just turn off the inboard sensors that would fix the issue. Still nice to know if something is back there with the outboard ones that wouldn't be picking up the hitch like the inboard ones do.
About 50% of the time when I put the gear selector in Park, the "P" flashes and I can't shut the engine off until I jiggle around the gear selector just right. The truck has been at the dealership for some time for this already. They replaced the "range sensor" but it is still doing it...
If I select ATH, the bed does lower even with no load. It goes back up a few seconds later of course. I just want bed lowering mode to vent the pressure from the air bags and let the bed go down as low as the spring will allow. Doesn't seem to much to ask.
I do not understand why bed lowering mode does not work on my 3500. When I select ATH, it does move down a bit until it decides there isn't enough payload and goes back up. That tells me it isn't a matter of not enough weight being present to compress the leafs but rather some kind of software bug.
Went and picked the truck up today. Apparently, they just installed the AMP steps. The passenger side is binding since the air suspension tank is in the way apparently. They are just waiting for the right bracket from AMP then they will swap the brackets out. On the one hand, I am a little...
Sorry you are having such a hard time getting a simple answer that we are all curious about. I had a terrible service experience with my 2015 3500 when the headliner was falling down and the dealer closest to my house just absolutely screwed up in every way conceivable. I swore I would never buy...
So take the accounting wizardry with a grain of salt since the price was worked in to the purchase price of the truck. They broke it down as $1400 for parts and $900 for labor which they waived as part of the truck purchase deal. $900 for labor seems a bit steep but it did sound like quite a bit...
Dealership is installing these on my truck right now. Guess they had to special order some bracket since it has air suspension but it should be done tomorrow.
My 3500 doesn't move a single millimeter when I select bed lowering mode. I figure it is just being held up by the leafsprings so even deflating the air bag won't really allow it to come down at all. Also probably why alternate trailer height wont activate until there is enough weight in the bed...
