The shark fin made a mess of my camper on my first trip out. I now use a rubber mat, a sheet of thick plywood and a sheet of hard insulation to build up enough space (about 2.5 inches). I am interested in finding an alternative to the shark fin.

If my 2020 had a telescopic steering wheel, keyless entry and a tailgate step with grab pole like the 4'd, it would be my forever truck. The 2025 Ram doesn't move the needle for me. As for the other brands, had them and I am not going back.

Hit 10.6litres per 100km on road trip this winter with 4 people, not towing. Average around 13.5l/100 around town. Bumps up to around 18 - 20l/100 with slide in camper. Sorry for the beavertalk - no idea on the conversion‍

Here you go For what it is worth, I had the same camper on a 2015 chev 3500 and a 2016 Ford F350 as well. The Ram handles it best. No bias, i liked each truck at the time.
