OK my turn; I had my recall fuel pump installed in late Jan. After the install the truck idled rough. When I let it idle for more than 5 minute which wasn't often I would get "service electronic throttle control" message with a pending P0088 code. The code would vanish after about 2 days of...
I got my pump recall done last month. Yesterday morning I remote started the truck and it shut down a few minutes after. When I manually started there was an error message "Service Electronic Throttle Control." I was still able to drive it. I read but did NOT delete the codes, it showed P0088...
We're you able to solve this without replacing the sensor? Mine spent a month in the dealer's lot last winter to get the part. Just starting a deep freeze and curious how others are managing this issue.
They had to replace the DEF (pump, heater, sensing) unit. It took 1 more re-flash before the part arrived at the dealer. No problem since the but the weather has been much warmer. I am concerned the problem will return next winter right after the truck rolls over 50k and the emissions warranty...
Update: Last week my service rep called and said they did some research. They tried to "re"-flash the ECU on the truck to get the Service DEF System message to clear. It did clear and they released the truck to me hoping the message would stay cleared. So far so good. I wish they had found...
Well my truck has been stuck at the dealer waiting on this part for a month now. The service guy keeps saying the part is expected Monday and then it gets moved back a week. He now has a bunch of these trucks on the lot with failed DEF systems. I am first in line but the part keeps getting...
Well the "150 miles to 5 mph" countdown started on mine. My OBD2 program reports a "pending" code P203E. Google says this is an erratic DEF level sensor. Seems this problem can happen when there is a large swing in temperature (exactly what happened Tuesday). The DEF tank can freeze and not...
Mine did this yesterday. 2019 2500. Keeping an eye on it in case I need to get to the dealer. Has been cold here lately so I was hoping it was the tank freezing and a good thaw would help.
Shift flare seems to be intentionally designed into the transmission. According to this video the flare is the result of the Torque Converter Clutch unlocking between gears to protect itself. Worth a listen.
Just had this TSB done on my 2019 2500 Big Horn. I was so nervous about it but they did a fantastic job. No creaking or rattles at all in fact maybe less. The AC is better but I won't know for sure till next summer. I only had 2000 miles left on the full warranty so I pushed them to do it...
Mine is at the dealer for the second time for this same issue. The videos above are exactly the same sound. The previous time they "cleaned dirt and gravel off the belt" but the noise returned the next day. They will keep it overnight to do a cold start tomorrow.
