OKAY so been out on the road putting some miles on my truck since getting it back but im noticing a rather concerning CLUNK which seems to be originating from the rear.
i can reproduce it pretty easily it seems to do it when “shocking” the drivetrain either by tapping the gas at low speeds...
yes trans was completely replaced in the end, and as for the recall i literally just got the letter a week ago for the y43 in fact when i brought the letter to the dealer this was the first any of them had heard of it. might be a canada/usa recall paperwork issue but definitely new up here...
well folks. it happened. i finally am back in my truck. picked it up this afternoon after visiting the dealership to get an update on the situation which is as follows (this isnt over yet)

not sure if i updated you but im on there (97) tsb arrived around june 1 installed tested and confirmed still broken …based on fca customer care yesterday we are waiting for engineering to proceed with whatever the next step is …8 months counting

yesterday (june 2) i received a phone call from the dealer and the tsb kit was installed. truck was put back together and put in reverse…no issues. then they went to put it in forward. all neutrals. they are now waiting to here...
so the 738/1187 is the mileage im in canada the truck has 1187kms and google tells me in bald eagle thats about 738 miles
