And just to be clear, I'm not talking about actually calculating my mpg. I am only referring to what that "current mpg" reads on the dash. It will show a steady 25-26 as the current mpg and then on the same roads going home it will show 15-16 as the current mpg.

I live on the east coast of North Carolina with hardly a hill anywhere to be found. I have an hour drive each way to work with cruise control set. The Temps may be a bit different from morning to afternoon and maybe the wind conditions might change a bit, but it doesn't seem to me like those...
My fuel mileage gauge will show I'm getting around 25 mpg on my way to work and then driving the same road home it may show I'm getting around 15 mpg. Is this an indication of a problem?
