Well I bit the bullet and bought the MAF from the dealer. I know… Stupid. But I was getting paranoid that if I ordered one online I might receive the old version. I wanted to be able to inspect the MAF before I bought it. I’m just ready to be done with this so I can start enjoying the truck...

I just looked and I have the Germany MAF. Maybe that’s what the tech meant when he said it has the “wrong MAF”... I am guessing the made in China MAF is the updated version.

I got the truck back today. In addition to the DPF which they changed under warranty, they recommended the air filter ($50), fuel filters ($360), and the MAF ($420). I said yes to the air filter because I get those from the dealer and that is about what I pay anyway... I said no to the fuel...

I think I would have spent an extra 10k on the next trim level up. But that’s probably because I bought a Tradesman as a penny pincher. This was back in March 2020 and the prices were a steal compared to today, so I wish I would have spent a little more. I don’t regret the diesel at all...
