It's not really a big deal and definitely don't want this to sound like I'm bashing Thuren. I have 45 and/or 90 degree zerks and will swap them out when I get a few minutes. I was just posting to see if anyone else has had issues or if I did something wrong on the install.
I have a bunch of...
In hindsight that would have been smart. I didn't think about clearance issues until it was fully installed. But you still have to figure out how to grease it periodically anyway.
I didn't see an option for premium vs standard links. I could have missed it but didn't notice paying extra for "premium". It seems like they only have one option on their website now.
There is a zerk on the bottom side of the link as well. If they were facing the other direction I wouldn't have access to the lower zerk. If the lower zerk faced the front of the truck and the upper faced the rear it would work great.
They must have changed the design or something. I have the lock n lube grease coupler and a few different tips and can't get any of them to get on the zerk. I'm sure a 45 or 90 degree zerk will work fine but am just surprised I can't find more info. What am I doing wrong? See pics:
Which way is the wrong way? Are they supposed to face the front of the truck or the back of the truck? It looked like they would hit the lower spring perch if facing the rear.
Interesting. Do you have the zerks facing the front of your truck? I tried a needle nozzle and couldn't quite get it straight enough. The curve of the sway bar is in the way.
I just installed a Thuren sway bar yesterday and have the same grease zerk access issue. I have a 2019 3500 SRW. Is there some trick to getting to those top zerks? I ordered some 45 and 90 degree zerks but just wanted to see if I am missing something. Seems like Thuren would include that in...
Man that seems like a lot of gunk in the intake. Any idea what kind of life the truck lived before you bought it? Grocery getter or work truck? Just wondering if running them hard helps with the soot build up.
What are you guys doing with your old headlights? A guy I talked with that owns a body shop said they are hard to find and really expensive. Is there a market to sell them used? I've had mine sitting on the shelf for a year and am ready to free up some space.
My wife got me the fogs as a birthday present so I installed the headlights first and the fogs later. Could definitely see a difference with the fog light upgrade as well. No issues with the headlights and yes I am still loving them. They light up street signs during the day time. I haven't...
