    Dead starter

So there is a "heavy duty truck center" associated with the dealer. I guess they normally do all the 2500+ work. I just called them, explained my situation, and they put the ebay starter in today. They will call me when the oe starter comes in and finish it. I had to pay the labor for the the...

    Dead starter

I opened a case today after: I called the dealer again and told them I had an aftermarket starter. The "advisor" told me that putting it in, even temporarily, would void my warranty. That was a complete lie, I confirmed with customer service that it would only matter if it caused another part...

I'll keep it for the peace of mind either way. I plan to just walk into the dealer and give it to them. If they won't replace it then I will just do it in the lot. I personally hate the idea of making a scene, but I might have to.

Decided to just order the ebay starter. Should be here by end of week. Hopefully they will still get it done first and I will have an extra for later.

I figured that was why. You would think they could make a exception though. If it sits at the dealer for a month, waiting on a part, then the truck would be considered a lemon and they would have to buy it back. Not that I want that to happen. I just want a working truck.

Just called the dealer again. They won't even consider getting the starter repaired at a local shop.

    Dead starter

So I recently bought a brand new 2022 2500 ram 6.7 and right at 1500 miles it all of the sudden would not start. Got it towed to the dealer I bought it from and they told me it was the starter and it would take 5-10 days to get the new one. Of course that's absolutely ridiculous for a new...
