SOLVED: It was the tensioner. It wasn't holding enough tension on the serpentine belt. The truck has a little over 110k miles on it, and the belt was slipping just a tiny little bit. All of the pulleys are good.
I have an intermittent squeak that is mostly only there when driving. I’ve already changed the belt since it had never been changed. I suspect either the idler pulley or the belt tensioner. I attached a video of it. Thoughts?
We had it happen yesterday. Called RamCares who were less than helpful. we are traveling so took it to a dealer here who told us that they can update it but the update process often bricks the unit and new units are on a 6 to 8 week back order.
I looked for a way to reset it but nothing...
GaleBanks put me onto it in this video.
since I am looking for longevity and reliability it seems that improving filtration for oil and fuel is important.
I wish I could still change my own fluids. Broke my back in the Army so that is out, which sucks big time. I may have them install it and since I already paid for them to do fluid changes just keep going there. Live and learn.
