Agreed. I had a Tundra prior to this truck and it had the infamous cam tower leak at 14,000 miles. That problem has plagued the 5.7 iforce engine since it was put into production, and Toyota has never done anything about it - and it would be a simple fix, too.
I'll keep monitoring threads...
If you are taking maximum covid precautions - just do it yourself. Order the stuff you need and do it in your own garage.
They don't put their top techs on oil changes. My last truck came with free oil changes for two years. I decided to do it to save some money. I stopped after 2 changes...
Add another one to the list. I just picked up a special-order 3500 with a 6.4. Didn't make the sound when I picked it up, but a couple of days later I fired it up and it was making the squeal/chirp fairly loudly at idle.
I ordered mine on May 12. I got notification that it entered the shipping process at the end of last week. ETA to the dealer window July 6-July 20. Pretty stoked. Here is the build:
