Good ride on the maiden voyage of the new rig

Congratulations! I get the clunk at startup on occasion as well. No idea what that is. I have almost 4K on my odometer and the gas mileage has gotten a tiny bit better, but not a lot. It is a thirsty beast. It’s a great truck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

I don't find it difficult to open. I usually step on the tailgate and open it from there. Occasionally I open it from the side. It is a bit more difficult to open from one side but I don't find it particularly difficult. I did not install the drain tubes. I wanted to see how much water comes in...

    Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

I've had it installed for 5-6 weeks now and it is working fantastic for me. It is very strong and durable, and I anticipate it to last many years. I would recommend it without hesitation. It was more than I initially wanted to spend but it is hard to turn down a good deal. Now that I've been...

    Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

One other thing. If you end up getting one from Real Truck email Alex and let him know you saw his post on the FB Ram group. You will get a good discount. I did at least. I get nothing from recommending Real Truck or Alex, just passing along a good deal. I got $175 off mine...

    Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

Yeah. I have the Ramboxes with the cargo management system (CMS). It uses the CMS rails. I’m not sure about a regular bed. There are mounting brackets that slide into the CMS so when you take off the cover just the brackets remain. It’s a slick system. It took me probably 30-40 minutes to...

    Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

No. Literally unscrew 2 large hand screws and it lifts off. I am able to handle it myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Roll up or tri-fold tonneau?

I just installed the Bakflip MX4 on my truck yesterday. They would need to be motivated to get in. It locks up fairly solid. Yes with a pry bar and a minutes work someone could break into it, but it would take someone determined. They would need tools of some sort to pry it up to just look. Its...

Lets see what you are towing!

Good luck on the trip! Im doing a bunch of mods on the trailer and then I will be heading out. I have a remote IT job so Im going to travel for a while. As long as I have internet I can work from anywhere. When I log off I will be able to step outside and start hiking in beautiful locations.

I can’t honestly say since the truck is new and this is the only trailer I’ve ever pulled with it. I would say it probably helps a little. However the Hemi is thirsty no matter. I think it’s better to have the V but I have no empirical evidence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
