So I took a closer look at my tires today and my driver rear tire is in fact missing one of the smaller weights. The clip is still there that goes to the rim but the lead or whatever the weight is made out of is gone. Comparing to another one of my tires it looked to be a .375 weight.
Would...
I don’t think it’s a driveline thing because when it’s happening I play with what gear I’m in and rpm and doesn’t seem to make a difference. Almost just sounds like excessive road noise. Also being hooked up to the trailer I don’t think would change my shaft angle that dramatically
That’s what I’m thinking. They have some mileage on them now. Weird with my trailer hooked up I can do the same speeds and it’s pretty much gone. Maybe the extra tongue weight on the rear so maybe I should mess with adding 10 psi or dropping 10 psi who knows
Hey guys. I own a 2024 2500 tradesman 6.4 w/8spd 4.10 rear crew cab standard bed 4x4.
Just over 12,000 miles I’m noticing a vibration from 50-70 mph in 6-8th gear. Not MDS as I normally turn it off with the gear limit switch.
This is when empty. I pull a 6x12 enclosed trailer for work...
Looks like it’s number # 68718876-AA
There’s also a number # 21060013 but I have a feeling that’s the number on a parts breakdown or identification number not sure it’s under “description “
Happy to hear that. What length bed do you have I know the 8’ crew cabs have a different shaft setup. Mine is a crew cab with 6.5’ bed. I noticed whoever installed it put the weep hole at 9 o’clock instead of straight down. Guess it doesn’t really matter if it leaks it’s going to show up at some...
Brought mine to dealer yesterday for the leaking output shaft seal. I replaced mine twice already myself with a National seal replacement and within 500-1000 miles both times started leaking again.
Brought it in yesterday got it back today pretty happy with that didn’t lose too much work time...
Please let us know if that fixes the problem. I put my second seal in recently just to by more time during my busy season before taking to the dealer. I’m sure it’s going to start leaking soon want to know what the end all be all with this is.
I read somewhere the real issue is a bushing...
Update on mine:
New seal I put in lasted a little over 1000 miles. It’s not leaking bad yet the cross member under the tcase isn’t soaked. I’m wondering if the slip yoke end is the problem and is a couple thousandths too small in diameter?
Anyone find a permanent solution to this yet? I have...
Hope this helps anyone that gets in a jam like I was.
68161329AA is the mopar seal
710943 is the National seals number
I ended up ordering 2 National seals from my local auto parts store just to have one as a spare. Cost me less than 80$ for 2. This may be the seal that mopar uses not sure im...
