Well, I set my tires at 40 front / 25 rear and ran some errands around town and that is BY FAR the most comfortable ride I have had in this truck. I’m going to keep them at that pressure and keep an eye on them to ensure there’s no uneven wearing but otherwise that’s my new unloaded pressure...
Regarding your question of how Nitto gave me a pressure, this is what they told me.
"Calculation is based off your driverside door placard which recommends 65 psi for the front and 80 psi for the rear for the factory tires. We see how much weight your factory tires carry at the recommended...
Thanks for the reply. Wow, 25 for the rear? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else running that low. Is that normal?
And if you don’t mind me asking, how did you get those numbers? For example, 40 for the front. Based on the weight on my front axle which is 5320 (2660 per side), it looks like the...
I'm not sure what specs it's aligned to. I have the full Carli pintop 3.25 suspension/lift on it so I'm assuming it was aligned to whatever those specs are.
I have a 2022 3500 SRW mega cab and have been running 37x12.50R18LT for the past 35k miles. I run them at 46psi front / 33psi rear unloaded (based on the chalk test) and 46psi front / 56psi rear when towing my toy hauler (per Nitto's recommendation when I reached out to them). My tires have...
Thanks for the explanation. And I won’t be holding my breath on it being fixed properly. I’ll have to look at the paperwork when I pick up the truck and see exactly what they did. When the service rep texted me, he told me they were replacing the DPF converter. When I asked him to clarify, he...
Took my truck to a different dealer this time and they found that the catalytic converter is failing internally so they’re replacing that. According to the service rep, the catalytic converter failing is what caused code P2459-00 (Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration Frequency) and is causing...
Took my truck into the dealer again today. This is the 6th time in 14 months I have had to take it into the dealer for all kinds of issues. This time my check engine light was on and they pulled two stored codes.
P203F-00 Reductant Level Too Low
P2459-00 Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration...
I’ll check the actual filter in my truck to be sure but according to the paperwork they put in the 53034051AB so that shouldn’t be the issue with mine.
Interesting. I appreciate the info! Mine was still a stock air filter though but when I got the oil changed at 13k miles they said it definitely needed replaced so I just had them do it. Then the DPF filter filled up to 1/4 full after the 12 mile drive home.
I just had my ‘22 at the dealer yet again for similar issues. It’s ridiculous how many issues this truck has had already with only 13k miles on it. One of the most recent issues is that about 500 miles into a road trip while towing my toy hauler, I got a message stating “Service DEF system. See...
If that message “Filter Full, Power Reduced, See Dealer” pops up, how serious is that? I have not seen that message yet, but I have been seeing some of the other issues discussed in this thread, such as frequent regenerations, and the DPF gauge showing the filter level increasing a lot more...
For mine, I only had 2k miles on my truck and while driving, the DEF gauge instantly dropped from 3/4 full to empty and my truck displayed a message that told me to refill my DEF tank. Then it was either a few min later or the next time I started my truck that day that the DEF gauge was showing...
My check engine light came on and the code was “P2459-00 Diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency”. The dealer just told me they need to replace the high-pressure fuel pump, do two flashes, and replace the engine filter. They said if that doesn’t resolve the issue they’ll probably need...
