I hadn't had a dog in several years because I was working so much and I'm a widower so I didn't want to get a new dog after my last one passed away just to sit home alone all the time. Last year when I retired I got this guy from a rescue. He maybe the smartest dog I've ever seen and I believe he understands almost every word I say. The rescue said he was a crate dog all his life living in an apartment and the owner lost his job and had to move home when the pandemic hit. He seems to have taken well to country living and he has ample room to stretch his legs here. He does love to go for a ride, doesn't matter what the mode of transportation is.

Sorry to hear, we just had to put our Persian down too. Definitely going to have a void for some time as they are special cats. turns out I was the softie and the one who bawled like a baby...we had ours basically a 1/3 or our lives.
