With the ARB dual nonexistent figured I’d give the Viair product a try. Found the 20002 and it looked pretty solid for what I want to do. Air up my 37’s. Summit had a good price, got it in two days and started the install. So far just roughed in.

Fab’d a bracket with my Bro for the spare location. I know someone will ask. Bottom of compressor tray is 31” from level ground.

Added a little truck bed liner to the bracket.

Electrical and airlines to follow over the next few weeks when time allows. Going to try and put a on/off switch and pressure gauge in the Rambox to look factory like the installed electric outlet. And one more thing. Compressor air filter goes out toward passenger side and up to where the tail light is. So it’s around 60”. From the ground.

Stay tuned for more…..

Why did you install a tank? Are you also planning to use it with air tools?

No that wasn't really the plan. But I guess I could now if I needed to. Primary reason was that I was unable to find an ARB dual, had two different orders that were waiting fullfilment for over a month. So just figured I'd give the Viair a try and I had the space with the 37" spare moving to the bed. I now see the ARB's have been popping up here and there so looks as if ARB finally got some out to their dealers.

Looks great! I have room under there for this too. I believe Viair mentions draining the condensation after every use. Can you put an automatic or remote condensation valve on it?

I received a notice a couple of days ago that Northridge4x4 has the ARB twins in stock if anybody is still looking for one.

Little more progress. On/Off switch mounted on driver side Rambox. Had parts for the ARB chuck. Installed that in rear bumper with the help of a wits end adapter

I’ve got all the electrical run. Just need to tie it up and terminate.

That wits end bulkhead fitting looks awesome... I have an arb air coupler with bulkhead fitting in the same spot but just a generic version bulkhead ...hmmm might have to upgrade.

FYI ARB has a dust cap for their air coupler and they work great. Keeps the internals nice and clean.

Hitting the web right now to order that dust cap. Wits End also makes one that they call a pacifier that’s real nice. My thought was it might catch someone’s eye and then be off with them though.

Yeah I saw the wits end one when I was building my system and was going to use that until I found the ARB one. It’s a perfect fit, low profile and discrete, and has built in tether.

Had it for about a year now, thru Colorado winter... it doesn’t let dirt or water in at all.

Just ordered 2 of the ARB’s. Keep a backup. Good to know about winter since I’m in Colorado as well.
Nice! I’ve seen a green 75AE around Arvada/Wheat Ridge a couple times... that you?

Back to the air compressor...Where did you get that square plastic piece between the bumper and the wits end bulkhead fitting?

Not me up that way. I’m in Conifer.
That piece came on my truck. I did however before cutting up take a picture with the part number.

On my truck there is a cutout behind this plate for what I believe is if you order the trailer TPMS. I did not. So they throw in that blank.
