Finally, details on one last piece of the puzzle

This post has been updated to fix a pricing error in regard to the 2018 2500 Tradesman. We previously reported that the 2018 Tradesman started at $32,545 (per edmunds), it actually starts at $33,045 (per Ram) making the 2019 Tradesman regular cab 2 wheel drive have an MSRP of $150 less than a 2018 Model similarly equipped.

We finally have details on 2019 Ram Heavy Duty pricing as Ram Truck has released pricing on all trim levels. Starting at $33,395 plus destination of $1,695, a slight increase of $350 compared to the 2018 model the 2019 Heavy Duties present a lot of value for the class. While the base price is up $850 over last year the 6.4 Liter Hemi V8 becomes the base engine (previously a $500 option) and the gas trucks gain the 8 speed ZF automatic transmission which was previously unavailable on the Heavy Duties.

Compared to competitors the 2019 Ram HD is priced right in line with the 2019 Ford F-250 which starts at $33,150 and undercuts the 2019 Silverado HD which is no longer available as a regular cab and starts at $37,600.
In launching the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty pickups and Chassis Cab trucks, we knew it was important to offer class-leading capability, features and technology. But it’s also important to offer our great products at a competitive price,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Truck Brand – FCA. “We feel that we’ve delivered the right mix that Ram Truck customers – across a broad spectrum — will appreciate.
For 2019 Ram has a wide range of Heavy Duties to choose from. The entry point to the Ram Heavy Duty lineup is the well equipped Tradesman 2 wheel drive regular cab with a starting MSRP of $35,090 including destination charge and climbing to a starting MSRP of $68,745 including destination for the technology leading 3500 Mega Cab 4×4 with the acclaimed 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen.

Having just spent time with these trucks I can tell you that they are a large step up from the 2018 trucks in terms of materials quality and technology. While we haven’t driven the trucks yet we will be this upcoming week and will be able to tell you all about at the end of the month

Below is pricing for all trims of the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty, minus destination charge of $1,695. These prices are also based off 6.4 Liter Hemi V8 8 speed automatic equipped trucks. The standard output 6.7 Liter Cummins turbo diesel stickers for $9,100 while the 6.7 Cummins High Output that develops 400 Horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque will lighten your wallet to the tune of $11,795.

Definitely making the 2018s less attractive. That isn't much of an increase at all. Thank you Ram.

This post has been updated due to us having the wrong MSRP for the 2018 truck. It seems the 2019s are an even better value than previously thought.
