Hey All. New here. Have a 2019 Ram 2500 with Cummins. Has anyone else been feeling the truck jerk when letting off the throttle at low speeds? Some times it’s light, other times it’s harsh. Seems to be worse when it’s cold, but not positive. I’ve test driven another 2019 and felt it a bit. Curious if it is normal and if there is a fix. I’m kinda hoping it’s not normal because it bothers me a lot. Thanks for any input.

Yes. It I have the 6.4. Sometime definitely more harsh than other. It’s like it decides to jump gears and slam into 1st gear but is moving faster than what first gear turns. It’s very random but always a slow speeds and no way to duplicate it.

Speed?

Temp?

EB on Full or Auto?

The EB is used to warm the engine when needed, you sure it's just not the EB you're feeling?

My speed say less than 15 mph. No EB on mine and as far as temps it’s happened at the campground which is after a 30 minute highway run and immediately after start up a mile from the house.

I can see you have a gas engine and would not have an EB. My post was directed at the OP.

Assuming you have a 68RFE, I too had a jerkiness at low speed, never could get and resolution as it didn't always happen and dealer couldn't duplicate problem.

Sorry for the delay. I am new to the forum world and failed to check in. In response, I would say the jerk happens most in first gear while cruising a little faster than idle; think cruising slow in a parking lot searching for a parking space. I would say it happens most when the engine is cooler. It tends to be much better when the engine is completely warm. It happens without the EB on. I never noticed it until about 7000 miles after towing several hundred miles. I couldn't get the dealer to duplicate the problem, as well.

Hi Mark. Thanks for responding. I have had the dealer check it out to the tune of test driving it a total of about 30 miles, ant they could not replicate it.

We are sorry for the trouble! What we are able to do from this level would be to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for an additional layer of support-- This will provide the dealership and yourself with an individual who will review your concern, then assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved. Please follow up in a private message if you are interested in beginning this process!
