Thoughts on the towing technology group? Does anyone have it, would you recommend it? Trying to justify the the cost. I planned on setting up an after market system with the Garmin much cheaper.

I have this $2,425 package. Is it worth it you ask... The surround view camera is pretty amazing. One of my trailers is a 28' cargo. When i am maneuvering in a tight area, this feature alone is awesome. Selecting different views, zooming in, seeing the front opposite bumper while backing, etc... all way easier with these cameras. You get spoiled for sure. When you drive something without them, its really shocking. As far as the rest of the package, like the LED lights. Its a 2019 truck...all the lights should be LED, not an option. Some of the other little items are kinda redundant in other packages. Like power folding mirrors. The blind spot feature is nice, but does not extend to the trailer. On my previous Ford, you input trailer length and it accounted for it. In my opinion, at that price, it should have come with a camera to mount on the back of your trailer. To me, that's what a "Trailer Technology Group" should be.

It was supposed to have that and TTPMS I believe... apparently 3rd party vendor issues have delayed release so all us early adopters are likely out of luck.

Here is a picture of the trailer i was referencing above. I did a 400 mile trip last weekend in Washington and Oregon. Stopped for seafood lunch in Raymond, Wa - the claimed "Oyster Capital of the World"... Had a fun trip to play in the sand dunes. Now have over 4k miles on the new Ram and almost half has been towing. So far its been doing great. 411
