It worked for 3500, but not 4500. Now, I can do a few sample builds, thanks!

I saw that, but when you go to the ram website and select the specific package (2500 Laramie Longhorn Mega Cab in this case), it shows a much lower number. 13,300 lbs in this case. I can't imagine the options added to the Longhorn drop the trailer weight by over 3,000 lbs.

It isn't showing me anything regarding payload or towing:

Well, it appears that when you select two-tone paint on a Longhorn it forces you into painted bumpers, which I don't like. Crap! I have really grown to like the Pearl White with RV Match Brown lower two-tone, as it seems to make the dually fenders look less bulky, but I want chrome bumpers. Can't win.

Just some tidbits about the tow rating. Each truck with similar options (engine, rear gear cab and bed) have the Same GCWR.

The options change what the final tow capacity...as does any additional payload.

A Gas engine is going to have more payload and less towing than the Diesel and the diesel will have more towing and less payload.

So a common chart that says a max towing of X amount is for the Cummins and if it says max payload of X that is a Gas engine.

The Gas engine with 3.73 gears will have less tow capacity than a 4.10 gears.

So if you see a Max tow number and you then decide you want a Hemi with 3.73 gears...that will be significantly less than a Cummins, but will have more available payload.

Just throwing this out there for anyone who doesnt know or understand.

Which is why I'd really like to find the trim I'd like to have on a lot so I can look at the numbers.

I’m with you. There are about 4 dozen 2500 & 3500’s in transit to Colorado (not many Limiteds though), so hopefully we’ll get some real world reads soon.

If you run across a non-Megacab Limited, post up that info! I'll check again tonight or tomorrow, but there seems to be almost nothing but Tradesmen coming my way.
