I recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung S21 to a S25 and have found that when placed in the Wireless Charge pad that it immediately displays a flashing red error indication that says it is a foreign object or internal error. The phone will charge normally if plugged into a USB Port using a cable, charge normally on my home charging pad, charge normally using the charge pad in my wife's vehicle, just not using the RAM charge pad in the dash. I tried removing the phone case to see if that affected the charging, but no difference at all. If I plug in my old S21 it will charge normally, no issues. Just for laughs and giggles, I stopped by my Dealership and we put the phone in the charging pad of another vehicle on the lot and it would not charge there either. The salesman stuck his own newer phone into the charging pad and found it would not charge either, then one of the other salespeople mentioned that she had noticed none of the newer phones seemed to charge using the charge pad on the vehicles, hers included, and have to manually charge the newer phones. Has anyone else noticed this, and if there is a software update needed in order to successfully charge newer phones wirelessly, is there any word on when we might expect that software update?
