I've done several searches for replacing the lncandesent tail light bulbs with LED bulbs, but get the message no results found. Is there an existing thread on doing this? Wanting the led without the expense of the oem led lights. Would making the change with alphaobd be necessary with bulb replacement? Has the ultimate led bulb been discovered?

I'm going to say "it depends". As there are some LED bulbs that come with resistors to trick the BCM in to thinking they are still incandescent. Otherwise, yes, you'll need to use AlfaOBD to change the setting.
