Hey Guys!
Is there any follow up on the bolt length? has anyone checked or messed around with different bolt lengths, higher torques, added washers?
I haven’t.....:-( Waiting on this virus thing to letup so I can get it to my dealer. The tech I talked too said he knew exactly what and where it’s coming from......the cab mounts. Ready to get it fixed,it’s driving me NUTS!!!!!!!

Yesterday I removed all 10 bolts (mega cab) to shift my cab over to make it look even and I measured the bolts and the front and rear cab bolts are the same 5-7/8" the 3 in the middle where all the same length at 4-1/4". The 4.25" bolts will not fit in the front or rear they are too short. I also noticed the rear cab mount (where my noise is coming from still) is a different cab mount then the others.

Not sure if they are the correct bolts but that's what I figured out.

I noticed this noise the other day. I thought it was just the fold flat floor bouncing around. Good.g to get a look at the can mounts next chance I get.

The video of the cab mount that was shared in the previous post is of my truck. I had posted it on the other forum before I found the thread here, I even PM'd RamCares with no reply so I assumed it fell on deaf ears. Maybe they just bugged out of the other forum because they seem to be responding here.

The dealer I purchased my truck from is out of my area but I did call them the following week after my purchase about the rattle, the sales guy allegedly talked with the service team and they said that they havent heard of the problem.

I spoke with the dealer in my area that I use for service two weeks ago and they had the same story but I forwarded the video to the advisor and he said he would look into it prior to my visit. I will be taking it in as soon as they have the parts available for the transmission update which they say will be in another 1-3 weeks. I can live with the possibility of an engine compartment fire but the rattling is about enough to make me want to park it and ride the bus.

Fill us in brother and let us know what they found. I’m still trying to get mine in. Between this COVID stuff and my Chemo treatments I’m having a tough time getting it scheduled.......grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Ill take a picture of the paperwork, I dont have the truck right now. Its at work. Ive been driving the work truck and starting from home.. But I believe they replaced the body mounts. They said its in the system and the service department can look it up. But once i get back to my truck ill snap some photos and post up.

How long did they have your truck to do the body mount repair?
