Recently upgraded from a Chevy 1500 to a Ram 2500. The receiver height is much higher on the RAM. Who has made the same transition and how much drop did you need to add to your weight distribution hitch to keep your camper ride level?

I ran a 2” drop hitch on my chebby 1500 and now I have an adjustable 8” hitch.

8” drop pulls my car hauler trailer level but I keep it on the 6” setting because the flip ball bottom ball can hit the ground on the 8” setting.

Looks Bulletproof-ish.

I have the same one but added their wdh adapter for my TT. I love the setup, except carrying it from the garage to the truck. That SOB is heavy.

I had to go from the stock E2 shank to the 9" drop one. I think I need to go down a little more than 6" from where I was with the Silverado 1500.

Now I have a 7" B&W hideaway for everything.

Looks like you may need a few more inches of drop to achieve trailer more level. At least go down to bottom holes on your present setup.

Level really only matters when loaded so thats when you check for level not when your empty

I went with a Reese 3357, 8.75" drop.
