Hello team. I posed the same question in the Ziegler megathread too, as it has 26 pages and is pinned. Zach creates a new thread for the Granger deals so there are fewer watching here but I'll give this a shot...

For those that don't know, a law in California went into effect Jan1 2023, where vehicles registered in California cannot purchase manufacturor warranties from out of state dealerships. That means Ziegler, Granger, Flood, etc. Even if it is the exact same warranty. You don't have to use YOUR dealership, but it has to be SOME dealership in California. How do I know this? When I got a Ford Maverick in Sep '23, I planned to just go online to Granger and buy the warranty, and found out the hard way about this law.

When I got my Ram, I was surprised and found Granger was able to sell me the warranty (I confirmed 3 months before my truck arrived) and I bought one. This week, they sent out notices to California (and Florida?) customers that Mopar is telling them they need to refund or change the home address to one outside the state.

I don't have an alternate address and will have to get a refund. I am now shopping around Cali dealerships to see if any will go below MSRP. Has anyone purchased an extended warranty in California, from any dealer, that was just above cost or even below MSRP? Please PM me if anyone has tips...

I have had many questions about the Added- Care- Plus Plan.

I will attach the brochure to this email.

You are able to choose not only your deductible, but the mileage. If you are still in your factory warranty and your purchase an ESP, the ESP would extended your factory warranty.

If you are no longer in your factory warranty, you will need to have an inspection done on your vehicle, but you can still purchase the ESP so once the inspection is completed and good to go, then your ESP kicks in. We do need a copy of the inspection, but our Specialist can help get that situated.

If you purchased an ESP then sell your vehicle and want to transfer it to your new vehicle, there is a transfer fee. If you no longer want it, you would get refunded a prorated amount.

Can you sell this in California? I saw a post saying you can't and the menu on your website doesn't have an option for California. However, I purchased a Chevrolet Protection Plan from an out of state dealer last year.
 
Can't get it in Komiefornia. I called Mopar and they said just put in an out of state address. Ditto with Florida I heard as well.

@zach@granger just got my 2024 Ram. Dealer tried to sell me an EG warranty and tried to convince me against the Mopar. Said the Mopar warranty requires all maintenance to be done at a Ram dealership. Is that the case? Really leabing towards going with you guys. Thanks.
