Price negotiated from MSRP

I had a $107k sticker and paid $81.5 at Ken Garff in SLC. Flew there, they picked me up at the airport. Had all the paperwork ready to go and I was on the road in about an hour back to WA state.
How did you get KG to come off $25k? I've bought from them in the past and live in SLC and never have seen this kind of discount from them.

I dont know the dealership but $25k off, even with a $107k sticker, seems like a hell of a deal. Like, near 25% off deal. Crazy.

The most expensive MSRP sticker currently on the KG's lot is $98K of the 142 listed in their inventory, including some 2025 models. The $107K MSRP must be some specially equipped truck. We purchased our 2016 Power Wagon in SLC and our 2024 3500 in Montrose, Colorado.Screenshot_20250123-202957_Chrome.jpg

I went back and forth for quite a while online. I showed them quotes I had from other dealerships and just kept ragging on them. Stephen Fowler was my sales guy and both he and the finance guy said they were surprised at the deal. Reason I flew there and drove it 800 miles home.

Sounds like a GREAT deal. What year is the truck and was this recently?

Guys, I followed up with Stephen Fowler at Ken Garff in SLC. While above deal was for a 2024 and hard to match, he did agree to the same terms offered by Mark Dodge. So, if they're closer to you, this may be another solid option. I'm waiting for details in writing (and trade-in value) but planning to move forward with them if it all checks out.

@MegaRed - Thank you for sharing the lead!

I need a deal like that one right now. It seems the higher trims don’t have the same discounts.

Bigger MSRP usually means bigger discount, in dollars. 10% of $100,000 is more dollars than 10% of $70,000. Ask for a % off MSRP, not a dollar amount. I got about 14% on my 2024 Bighorn 3500, which at the time was a good deal.

I am starting to look for a '25 3500 Dually Laramie. I have built it on the web site, pretty well loaded and very similar options to my '21 3500 Laramie SRW. The old one had an MSRP of just over 79K and this new one around 86K. Kelley's blue book has my '21 priced between 55-61K trade in value. Curious to see where the pricing will come in. We have bought many many work trucks, as well as personal car/trucks from our dealer in Greenville NC and they have always been good to us. We tow a 16K 5th wheel now and looking at a 24K 5th wheel and why the Dually.

Heard multiple rumors of Ram cutting MSRPs soon by 35%. Is that just people blowing smoke or should be holding off on buying one?
All over you tube, up to 35% on '25 models and up to 50-60% on 22-23 models. The scuttlebutt says this will happen either end of quarter or early next quarter

Yeah, I'm wondering how a Laramie got to the $107K price too. I just went through the Ram build site and put every option available on a 24 3500 Laramie SRW HO, and the price is $98,345. Must have been a lot of dealer addon stuff.

At any rate, nice deal you got there. Hope you enjoy the truck.

or possible if the dealer was showing the old sticker before the reprice from back in the spring which would make more sense on the discount amount...hard to get a laramie above $100k now

I live in SLC and gave Ken Garff a call and they won't get anywhere close to MegaRed's deal.

You know? After reading the responses and thinking about this a little, I'm thinking you are right @Thisnthat . I'll run my VIN next chance I get and see what the latest and greatest window sticker is.

Welp...you guys are right. I ran the VIN and it came up as follows. I guess it wasn't so great after all haha. I have the window sticker in the garage that shows $107k but it must have been prior to the discounts. 14% isn't terrible I guess.
