First tow. 500 miles On the truck, added a 50 gallon transfer flow and off we go.View attachment 694
So here’s my thoughts:

Towing-

Amazing. The suspension and motor with 4.10 is awesome. However my mpg dropped 1.2 mpg from my 2016 3.7. But it’s worth it. Most big hills were 4th gear now and 57mph. That’s with a 20k pound trailer. Smoothest and most torque ever. Glad I have a transfer flow tank. :)

Bad- posted already but the AC sucks. More after Wednesday appointment with dealer. My gauges show the pressure fluctuating so hopefully just some air in it. Damn AZ weather. Hehe

And...a rattle. I know others posted but something has a low sounding rattle behind the back seat On bumps. Just turn the music up to get rid of it but it’s there.

Just installed the carli 3 inch full pintop lift on my 19 dually. Expensive but a very good quality lift. Sits about 3.5 inches higher in front (before tires) and 2 in rear. Put a set of 35x12.5s on. Could have gone 37s. Set of fuel cleaver dually 20in rims. Also put amp steps on. Truck now sits perfectly for what i want. Looks like a big aggresive stock look. With tires ats about 6 inch higher than it was stock. It was tiny on those stock 235 dually tires

Couple more pics. Still very dirty. Just did quick rinse. Going for a wax next week. Thinking ceramic coating. Anyone done that yet?

Dealer did the ceramic coating for us while we were signing the paper work.......

what kind of ceramic coating did you get? from what i know of that process, there are multiple washes sandwiching a paint correction process...even for brand new cars.....and once it's applied, there's a curing process that keeps the car garaged for a whole day at least. i haven't heard of a ceramic coating that can be considered a finished job that can happen in a few hours.

while i have had a couple of cars that i have had this done to, i'm by no means an expert, so i'm asking sincerely.

I had mine done in System X Diamond SS (with lifetime warranty) last weekend. It was done outside, but, on a day without rain in the forecast. Took the detailer about 9.5 hours start to finish to do the paint correction, minor polishing, etc. There were 2 guys on it, but, from all the work they did, I wouldn't think that it could be done in less than 4-5 hours at best.

yeah, the process is exhaustive ....that's why i don't wince as much when i hear the price tag. if any of you out there are interested is something like this, and are shopping around, watch a few youtube videos by some reputable shops to see these guys work.

given the size of our rigs, and the fact that i enjoy washing my car, a ceramic coating is definitely something i'd want. would make washing something so huge a lot easier. around here ( L.A. county) a good shop would charge you 1800- 2K. thus making me have to hold off on a mod like this for a while
